The Province of Ascoli Piceno commissioned an exhibition about the role of water in contemporary life at the Musei della Cartiera Papale.
The historic site is bordered on three sides by a torrential river that was providing the power to produce paper for the Papacy as early as the 13th century.
Magian designed the technical infrastructure, four discrete touchscreen programs, a multi-touch table, an enclosed theatre showing videos on demand and an introductory video program comprised of three screens mounted within an enclosure to suggest a channel of water.
Magian produced the three videos for the introductory program which provides a message about the singular importance of water to life on Earth.
The production's content was based on images and library footage which Magian sourced and procured. Other content for the water exhibition was developed by the University of Trieste's SissaMediaLab.
Magian provides the Museum with remote technical support using processes perfected for the purpose over many years. Cogito, from Udine, worked with Magian to specify and purchase all hardware and install the multimedia software at the site. Cogito also supported Magian, as the prime contractor, in all other aspects of the project.
