Magian was contracted by exhibit designers, Sietescolores from Mexico City, to provide the technical design, specification, and audio production for a soundscape in a large interactive exhibit based on the rich palaeontology finds in northern Mexico.

Magian also provided the same services and the video production for the La Vida Theatre which tells the story of how life on Earth evolved over four billion years.

Magian was responsible for the La Vida program's research, scripting, visualistion and all aspects of video production including the production of the Spanish language voice-over. A dual-projection system provides for the delivery of the narrative thread while dome projections, special lighting and other effects are deployed over the interior of the dome. Laser lights are used to enhance the effect of the glass floor.

The La Vida theatre is installed in a pre-existing space with a perfect dome over-head which, along with a glass floor and cylindrical floor plan, presented a major challenge for the delivery of any audio let alone voice narration for this spectacular theatre experience. Magian, supported by sound specialist, Lynn Mader (Dakota Audio), advised on physical treatments for the space and designed technical infrastructure to counteract the reverberation and echo inherent in the built space. Magian's DiAC show-control software is used to manage and randomise audio and special effects to accommodate and minimise the particularities of the theatre.

Magian designed an LED ticker which continuously alerts visitors to the starting time for the next showing of this timed experience. Museum education staff also use an iPod controller designed by Magian, to manage and control the space and its programming. The iPod touch controller allows site staff to easily adjust schedules, interrupt the video for presentation purposes, adjust audio volume levels and lighting as may be required, as well as keeping track of projector bulb life.
