The Scientific Center Kuwait
Media Exhibits

The Scientific Center Kuwait [TSCK] is both a science center and an aquarium with displays of fish and animals from the Gulf region.

Magian worked with staff at TSCK to review the original exhibits in the aquarium as well as the animal exhibits. A plan was developed for the refurbishment of the interpretive messages through the introduction of approximately fifty new multimedia exhibits.

Magian designed, developed and produced more than forty media programs of various types including a suite of Species Identification touchscreen programs located beside the live animal enclosures and the tanks in the Aquarium.

Magian also  designed the technical infrastructure for the media, specified all hardware and supervised the installation of more than fifty computers.

Media programs include video programs, soundscapes, touchscreens and a wireless iPod Touch program that allows staff to interrupt the exhibit media programs and deliver presentations of additional content to enhance and amplify visitor understandings of the natural world of the region.

Magian installed and commissioned all software and conducted training sessions with relevant technical staff at the Aquarium.
