Magian was responsible for the fabrication and fit-out of all exhibition galleries as a turnkey project. As part of the fabrication process it was necessary to redesign approximately 85% of the exhibits as designed for original concepts. One entire gallery was totally redesigned. Magian built and installed all of the exhibits in the four galleries, Pathways of Science, Pathways of Discovery, Environmental Odyssey and the Children's Discovery Galleries. The four galleries totalled approximately 34,000 sq ft.

As well as working from Melbourne, Magian established a joint venture fabrication facility in Kuala Lumpur to carry out the project.

Magian also hired and worked with a number of exhibit fabrication sub-contractors located in Australia, the US, Singapore and Malaysia.

Magian designed, built and installed:

  • more than one hundred science exhibits
  • 750 full color graphic panels in two languages
  • more than fifty interactive mechanical exhibits
  • fifty interactive touchscreen programs
  • ninety networked touchscreen computers
  • soundscapes for each gallery using sixty-four audio channels
  • fifteen combined video and audio visual programs
  • a walk-through, simulated Malaysian rainforest incorporating:
    • thirty video monitors
    • soundscapes and lighting
    • a submarine simulator
    • an earthquake simulator
