The programs were created to explain the fascinating and complex physiology of hummingbirds.
The programs make extensive use of video and animation. Sounds recorded by Les Gilbert were used in the creation of multi-channel soundscapes that provide a rich soundscape ambience for the exhibits. The soundscapes are managed and controlled by the Magian DiAC system.
The touchscreen program won an Australian ATOM Multimedia Award in 1998.
